Best for: Clean water sources. Screen filters are simple, cost-effective, and available in mesh sizes from 80 to 200 mesh.

Best for: High organic loads (rivers, ponds). Sand media filters handle the highest contaminant levels but require the most space.

The filter must handle your system's peak flow rate without excessive pressure drop. A maximum of 0.5 bar clean pressure drop is recommended.
